Description
This is an auction for the VERY RARE Horace Silver Quintet - Horace-Scope Horace Scope - BLUE NOTE 47 West 63rd NYC deep groove DG labels. Visually Mint- and PLAY GRADES mostly Mint-, cover presents well but is VG++ to VG+ with slight wear on back, slight wear at upper left corner edges, 3" seam split at center bottom and a small spot of wear at bottom center front. With Blue Mitchell, Junior Cook, Horace Silver, Gene Taylor and Roy Brooks. Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder - 'RVG' stamped and an 'ear' in trailoff both sides.
Sound quality is superb, realistic audiophile quality - Rudy Van Gelder at his best recording excellent performances from the musicians - a stereo gem from 1960. One of several hard to find 60s & 70s Jazz pressings I'll be listing on Ebay this week.
