Description
You are looking at a nice copy of "Hopalong Cassidy and the Singing Bandit" a Capitol Record Reader, 1950.
I am using the Goldmine Record Grading outlines in an attempt to better describe the albums listed herein.
- Very Good (VG) Generally worth 25 percent of Near Mint value. Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them. - Good (G), Good Plus (G+) Generally worth 10-15 percent of the Near Mint value. Good does not mean Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white).
A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
- Poor (P), Fair (F) Generally worth 0-5 percent of the Near Mint price. The record is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it. Inner sleeves are fully seam split, crinkled, and written upon.
Album - (VG-G-) there are four sides in varying degree of condition. I have not played the 78's and have no way to play them.
Sleeve - heavy brown paper no splits
Cover- (G-F) spine is beat up (see picture) back cover has crayon writing.
Storybook- (G) storybook is in good condition. There is a small amount of pencil writing on the inside front cover and the last page of the storybook. There is also a ripped page near spine about 3 inches long and a folded page (from top to bottom) aslo a 1/4 inch hole in one of the pages.
Please don't hesitate to ask for additional photos or information, I usually respond next day. Thanks and good luck!
Payment: ALL FOREIGN BUYERS MUST PAY THROUGH PAYPAL. U.S. buyers, I prefer Paypal but will accept Money Orders, cashiers checks and personal checks. Payment must be received 10 days after the auction closes.
Shipping: You will pay exact shipping costs and a very nominal packing fee. If you have any question about that please see my prior feedback, the idea is not to rip you off, just have you pay for the shipping and handling...not me. I ship the second working day after payment is received, using UPS or USPS depending on the size of the item and insurance requests. I will combined shipping costs if more than one item is purchased. If you purchase a glass or breakable item and do not purchase insurance any damage will need to be addressed by the post office. You will have no recourse with me.
International Shipping: Including Canada: anytime I have to make extra trips to the Post Office to verify shipping costs and fill out additional forms, you pay for it: never more than $3 added to the actual shipping and handling. If this is something you can not handle please do not bid.
