Hello up for auction is an ultra rare and beautiful 10 inch BLUE NOTE masterpiece/artifact! it is "THE PROPHETIC HERBIE NICHOLS VOL 1" DEEP GROOVE LEXINGTON AVE PRESS, the vinyl is practically new, i would rate a strong 9/10! it is M- or a VG+++ to say the least--i have played it and i has almost no surface noise--very little in terms of spindle wear too! the cover is VG/VG+ there are no seam splits to speak of, very rare for a 10" of this type and age! a little dirt and wear on the cover from over the years, great patina! VINTAGE tight, sharp corners round out this amazing piece of jazz history--this is the kind of stuff they play on 88.3 and 89.9 in the NYC area on FM. a real collectors dream at a nice opening price!
On Apr-10-06 at 14:38:56 PDT, seller added the following information: hi, i failed to mention in the description that there is a catalogue # written lightly in pencil on the rear cover by the original owner from over 50 years ago--i totally understand if you want to remove your bid on this item, at this time there are 4 bids and i just don't want anyone to bid on something if it is not exactly what they want, OK. i am usually really up on these types of descriptions but did fail to note that fact.
