Special Features : On this album, the Quartet consists of Hawes, Red Mitchell, Bruz Freeman and Jim Hall. Although originally released separately, on offer are the entire three albums recorded on the night of November 12th, 1956, at Contemporary's studio in Los Angeles, in a session of virtuosity and intensity. These are stereo recordings pressed in Japan by king records.
Condition - Record three has a small mark on track one of side One that clicks for about 5 revolutions. Otherwise they are of excellent appearance and play and sound superb (the recordings are superb) with a minimum of surface noise. The cover and notes are in excellent condition.
