VERY RARE FIND! ORIGINAL 1957 BLUE NOTE LP "THE STYLINGS OF SILVER" BLP 1562 BY THE HORACE SILVER QUINTET. FANTASTIC LINEUP RECORDED BY LEGENDARY RUDY VAN GELDER.
This LP Features:
ART FARMER, trumpet; HANK MOBLEY, tenor sax; HORACE SILVER, piano; TEDDY KOTICK, bass; LOUIS HAYES, drums.
This version, as in the uploaded images, is the 1st original MONO issue:
- Blue and white Blue Note Records - 47 West 63rd - New York 23 address on deep grooved labels, with no "Inc" no ®- RVG stamped, P for Plastylite plant and 9M etched in the dead wax, both sides,
- 47 West 63rd St., New York 23 address on back-cover, with no "Inc."

Record: VG+ The LP has minor noise in the deadwax, and during the much quieter moments, but sounds absolutely tremendous. Although this copy does show minor signs of use and age, for being 60+ years old the playback is truly wonderful. Once the music comes in the listening is rich and dynamic. A worthy piece for any collector. Play tested, sounds great!
Cover: VG+ The cover is intact and the colors are vibrant. An iconic cover photograph well preserved and looks excellent. Minor sings of storage wear along the edges and minor fading on the rear cover. Overall a wonderful looking jacket.
