Recorded on September 18, 1958, this Verve session features Harry “Sweets” Edison on trumpet, Jimmy Forrest on tenor, Jimmy Jones on piano, Freddie Green on guitar, Joe Benjamin on bass and Charlie Persip on drums. SIDE A: LOVE IS HERE TO STAY and SHORT COAT. SIDE B: BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE; IMPRESSARIO and ILL WIND. This LP’s label has the trumpet logo. This is a deep groove LP. This is a MONO recording.
I’ve graded the vinyl as EX and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean of any marks on both sides. There is some wear around the spindle hole, which brought down the grading to an EX. The record jacket is in near mint condition, with no real sign of wear.
