Description
Positively 4th Street (actually plays: Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?) b/w From A Buick 6 - BOB DYLAN (Columbia 4-43389)
Original 1965 U.S. 7" 45. Notorious MIS-PRESS -alternate take of "Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window? on side 1. Dead wax matrix info: side 1 = ZSP111386-1A / side 2 = ZSP111387-1A. Now, I see one of 2 possible scenarios for the original owner of this single: A.) A young teen hears "Positively 4th Street" on the radio, digs it, goes & purchases the 7", brings it home, plays it &... what the?? I wonder what the initial reaction would have been upon hearing this. Did he/she think the dj had played the wrong song? Or, B.) A young teen already into DYLAN spots this in the record store, hasn't ever heard it & purchases it. Brings it home, spins it & naturally assumes it's what it says it is. At some point in time, he/she hears "P4S" on the radio or somewhere & realizes it's a totally different song than the 45 in his/her possession. At that point in time the owner writes the correct song title on the record label. Whatever the story is, whomever owned it previous definitely played it & apparently enjoyed it, regardless of what song it actually is.
Disc = VG / Labels = very slight rub wear on side 1; slight ring wear on side 2; writing on side 1 only (song title crossed out & correct title handwritten in)
