NYC salsa, from the early '70s, proving once again that there was a scene outside of the Fania empire. This is gritty, driving, cowbell beating, roots salsa.

Leader and trumpet player Gus Colón — seventeen years old at the time of this release — was amongst the oldest members of the band which ranged in ages from fourteen to eighteen — these guys were kids! Good vocals by Eddie Marrero.
