Here is a GREAT GRATEFUL DEAD PROMOTIONAL RECORD for you to add to YOUR vinyl collection if you’re the high bidder!!!

 

Here are the details about the record in this auction:

 

·       “AMERICAN BEAUTY” 7-inch EP by the Grateful Dead that is a Compact 33 intended for commercial jukebox play.

·       This 7-inch record plays at 33 1/3 RPMS.

·       This record was issued in 1971 to promote the Grateful Dead’s “American Beauty” LP which is pictured on the front of the picture cover/picture sleeve.  

·       This is Warner Bros. Records S-1893.

·       It is also referred to as LLP (Little LP) # 226 which is printed on the rear of the picture cover/picture sleeve that was issued with it.

·       As you may know, PROMO RECORDS, such as this Compact 33/LLP, were released by record companies ONLY to the radio stations and DJs for airplay and for jukebox play. They were NOT released or made available to the general public, and they were produced in VERY limited quantities which makes them of interest to vinyl collectors.

·       The SIDE 1 cuts are: “Sugar Magnolia”, “Operator”, and “Till The Morning Comes”.

·       The SIDE 2 cuts are: “Truckin” and “Friend Of the Devil”.

·       The PICTURE COVER/PICTURE SLEEVE is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION. It has NO tears, NO seam splits, and NO writing on it. It has a very small corner push on the lower right corner and very slight wear on the rear.

·       The VINYL is graded NICE VG+ CONDITION. The record has lots of gloss!  

 

This is a tough Grateful Dead PROMO RECORD to find these days, so don’t let this one pass you by!

 

FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (G for Good, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY GRADE this record and sleeve, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
