Description
Welcome...You Found It! This is an original Warner Bros. 1966 Mono pressing of "The Grateful Dead", their debut LP....That's not trashed!
The catalog number is W-1689
This is the Super Rare Mono version of this great ground breaking album. This album stands as the most creative work by the Grateful Dead.
The cover has solid seams and spine, no splits, no rips, no writing but does have it's share of overall wear and some soiling on the white back cover. I grade the cover as VG.
The record is in VG condition and shows signs of wear in the way of visible scuffs and light scratches. I was amazed when I listened to it because it sounds very good with some light background noise but nothing that gets in the way of the music.
This is such a rare album in mono, I can't emphasize enough how you just don't find them anymore in any kind of playable condition. I also want to say that when listening to a mono record, your sound system should be set for mono playback. Stereo playback with a mono record distorts and magnifies groove wear. This was played back in both stereo and mono and sounded very good in both modes over headphones.
