Description
A rare original MONO copy of the first Genesis L.P. First U.K. pressing (Matrix 1B) released in March 1969. Condition Cover - On the front there is some creasing, wear and marks. There are creases to the laminate (not the card beneath) especially towards the opening side. There are a few marks near the Decca logo, perhaps where a price sticker has been. There is some ring wear on the laminate. There is some laminate "lifting" at the edge of the spine with one particularly noticeable area 4mm x 15mm next to the title on the spine. On the rear there is slight ring wear and a bit of wear at the top and bottom and at the opening edge. Vinyl - Clean and shiny. It is hard to see any obvious defects. On close inspection there are a few light surface marks. The record plays well on both sides with good sound. There are some slight minor crackles here and there which I don't fel detract badly from the music. The labels have spindle marks and a slightly darker red patch can be seen to the left of the titles on side two. Insert - There are two adjacent sepia stains at the front upper left side and a few other minor blemishes. N.B. I have not listed a record before and have tried to famliarize myself with the terminology, grading etc. I will conservatively grade this record as VG (Very Good) - I have noticed many records in much worse condition which have been graded higher.
