Description

Gene Vincent is without a doubt my favorite early rocker. I think many will agree. He was an outsider from the top guns, Elvis, Bill Haley, Chuck, ect...they all sold out. Gene was pure rockabilly and did not get caught up in commercial 12 bar crap. He was a rebel. In time, bad press, scandal and plane crashes left R&R black-listed, forcing us to listen to Fabian, Frankie and Paul Anka. No wonder the Brits took over. Quietly, the rebel put out this LP, his best in my eyes.

Forget 'Be Bop A Lula...Gene was seasoned by this LP. His clean guitar shines and intros most of the 12 tracks. My fav is 'Why Don't You Learn to Drive', the epitomie of his creative lyrics and style. This has got to the best pure early R&R LP ever, recomended to ALL ages. It's book value in not a fluke. This one is music history. Send it into the universe as a gift to distant planets, the art of Rock& Roll in it's purest form.
