Holy Toldo this is an exceptionally rare beast. Edwin Fischer made the first complete recording of the 48 Preludes & Fugues made between 1933 and 1936. It is widely regarded by players as the benchmark performance by which to measure onself. Many agree that in 70 years it hasn't been surpassed. This is a Japanese set of the highest quality. The five lps are individually housed in white sleeves and a "book-style" box. Excellent and highly sought after recordings featuring EDWIN FISCHER. Angel - Great Recordings of the Century label Japanese pressing. 5lp box set complete with insert in Japanese, original obi and the original UK invoice dated 8th June 1976 - on this day it cost £18.10 which was a whole heap of money then.

The box is in excellent condition with some minor rubbing and minor wine to the heavy spine. The individual sleeves are mostly in near mint condition apart from sleeve 1 with some foxing. The vinyl is in near mint condition.
