Italian pressing, Red record VPA 154 (1977)
Now very rare Gil Cuppini big band Lp featuring tracks recorded from 1969 to 1977. Top big band formation including all the best Italian musicians like Sergio Fanni, Oscar Valdambrini, Glauco Masetti, Giancarlo Barigozzi, Eraldo Volontè, Gianni Basso, Giorgio Azzolini and so on...
Shades of the Clarke-Boland Big band on the killer latin jazz track "Caceres" recorded in 1977 in Switzerland. Other tracks include the big band bop "Flakes" and the odd tempo composition by Mario Rusca "3th dimension".
Side A hosts the 18+ minutes long jazz suite "A new day", written by Gil Cuppini and played in 1969 in Milan. Rare!
