I have recently obtained a large collection of UK Apple singles many of which are now listed. They include demo’s, factory sample promo’s, radio station promo’s, Wings Fun Club issues, UK Apple picture sleeve issues and some of the rarer singers. Many are in wonderful EXCELLENT+ condition. George Harrison 1976 UK 2nd DEMO pressing of the 'My Sweet Lord / What Is Life’ 7” single. Released in December 1976 to help promote the album ‘Best of George Harrison’. This comes fully complete with the original and rare ‘gnome’ 1976 UK Apple picture sleeve and a very rare ’A IS FOR APPLE RECORDS’ unused sticker.
These initial demo pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers or radio stations. Released on the light 1976 Apple label both sides state ‘DEMO RECORD NOT FOR SALE’. The track running times for both sides have been written on the a-side label. A rare and desirable Beatles related record.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: 7YCE 21511-2 1 P KT
Side 2: 7YCE 21512-1U 16 RPA KT
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT+ condition.
Both labels are in MINT- condition. BUT track running times for both sides have been written on the a-side label.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. ‘1971’ written neatly on the back.
