This original 3LP plays well with no jumps or skips or any real loss of sound quality. There is some crackle at the start of each side and also a little sporadically during the rest of the album, but most of the time it plays beautifully. Overall we have to grade all LP's as very good minus. All LP's have probably been played a good amount of times, but probably LP1 & LP2 have been played more, so we visually grade LP1 & LP2 as good plus and LP3 as very good. LP1 has two scratches on side 1 and some other hairline marks, side 2 has a number of hairline marks. LP2 three very thick marks/scratches, some other hairline marks on side 1 and six hairline marks on side 2. LP3 is much cleaner and just has the occasional wispy hairline mark on each side. All labels are clean and free from writing, stains, tears, marks with some spindle traces.
All original lyric inners are in good condition. LP1 insert has two splits, one at the bottom and one at the side. There is also a stain on one side. LP2 insert has a split on one side and a small split at the bottom. LP3 has no splits, just some ringwear.
The original poster is in very good condition. There are four very small pinholes, one to each corner, but the original folds are still there and there are no other marks, stains, rips, tears or writing on this poster.
The original box is in good condition - there is quite a bit of scuffing to all corners and all corners have split. The spine is quite good, all words are completely readable. There are quite a number of ageing marks and some general grubbiness and rubbing on the front - the plain back cover and inside the box is all very good though. Have a look at the pictures for further details.
The box was manufactured in the US yet the LP's are from the UK. This was quite common just after the release; the real 1st press is one with a UK box, but many 1st LP's were put into US boxes. Seeing as many copies of this album in excellent condition go for over £100, this is your chance to own an early copy for less than that, particularly one that plays well.
Overall this is in good plus/very good minus condition and is a great addition to anyone's collection.
All gradings are in accordance with the Record Collector's Grading System which is listed at the bottom of this write-up for reference.
Postage is £7.00 within the UK for first class mail - this box set is heavy!

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
