Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years. My main interest has been PROGRESSIVE especially the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL LABEL, reputed to be the most collectable label in the world?

I have finally finished my SWIRL collection of over 160 albums of which most are UK pressings, and now I am going to SELL them ( I must be mad ). I have been quite fussy about the QUALITY, CONDITION and they must be the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. The latter has been the hardest to decipher and has had me buying and selling many copies of the same album to achieve this,and I almost have with these collectable gems.

I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWSOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.

For sale here is--GENTLE GIANT--ACQUIRING THE TASTE-- UK ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH VERY FIRST PRESSING SLEEVE,1971, stereo 6360 041. The 36th of 87 UK pressings on this label. THE REST WILL FOLLOW!

SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD and UN-LAMINATED. This sleeve is in GREAT condition. It is a GENUINE VERY FIRST PRESSING. This is a great copy of this sleeve. It is very flat and square. The colours are very strong and vibrant LIKE NEW. The top and bottom edges are N/MINT as is the spine. The front is EX+ with very light rubbing to the surface and a small ammount of age spots near the spine, NO UNWANTED WRITING, NO STICKER TEARS, NO STICKERS, NO RING WEAR  AND NO STAINING. The rear  is in even better wonderful condition with NO SURFACE RUBBING. The opening edges have NO FEATHERING and are AS NEW. The spine is square and true (THIS ALBUM DOES NOT HAVE ANY WRITING ON THE SPINE, WHICH IS CORRECT). The inside gatefold is in fantastic condition and looks EX++. The only other sign of wear ( and it is  extremely minimal) is to the very tips of the corners. This album comes with AN ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING SWIRL INNER SLEEVE in great condition . All in all this is in wonderful condition for a 35year old sleeve.

LABELS......This is a genuine first pressing. This album was never pressed in the UK with the larger B-side swirl. Both labels are in wonderful condition, beautifully white with minimal spindle marks. N/MINT.

VINYL....Both sides of this fantastic album still have their JUST PRESSED deep black shine. As for surface marks, when you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can only see very light surface marks but no deep scratches. In normal daylight this album is PRISTINE. Both sides play WITHOUT SCRATCHES OR JUMPS. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK and the sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo seperation.This is a superb album in the most wonderful of conditions.These HEAVY VINYL origional pressings are second to none. This really is a top copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER . ( the very few dust crackles could probably be removed by a professional clean ) EX++/EX++

THIS IS ONE OF THE MORE DIFFICULT ALBUMS TO FIND ON THIS  LABEL AND GETTING VERY HARD TO FIND IN ANY CONDITION. IT IS RARE IN THIS GREAT CONDITION. DONT MISS THIS ONE.

THERE CANT BE MANY LEFT IN THIS CONDITION.
