Genesis : Selling England By The Pound / Tangerine Dream : Rubycon Picture Disc

Well this is meant to be 'Selling England By The Pound'!  This very rare disc actually plays 'Rubycon' by Tangerine Dream.  In 2013 both albums were released in Germany as official picture discs to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Virgin Records but there was a mix up in the pressing plant.  So the Genesis 'disc' plays 'Rubycon' and the Tangerine Dream 'disc' plays 'Selling England By The Pound'.  I am not sure if this pressing error affected the whole batch so this disc could be a genuine rarity.

Pressed on extreme heavyweight vinyl picture discs do not play as well as standard vinyl.  For those keen on 'Rubycon' there is a little crackle here and there but for the most part it plays with excellent audio.  Of course it should be owned more for its rarity and not for its audio quality.  It is contained within the original sleeve with a download code but I doubt if this can be accessed now....or if it is Genesis!

There are a couple of marks on disc but visually the graphics are still visually very impressive.

Just to repeat this disc plays 'Rubycon' by Tangerine Dream.
