GENESIS: The Silent Sun c/w That’s Me!
Parrot 45-PAR-3018 / US promotional copy housed in original record company sleeve
Condition
Record shows considerable signs of wear on both sides – a mixture of surface marks and scratches with some wear to the labels. Sleeve is tatty, though easily replaceable. This is an extremely rare single – best purchased as a gap filler, until a better copy comes along.

Grading
I check the surface of each record visually under LED lighting for greater accuracy when grading a vinyl disc and grades are based on those used by Record Collector Magazine, with the addition of + or – where necessary, to emphasize a particular grade.
Mint (Record): Is in new/perfect condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Sleeve: Is mint and any additional items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent (Record): Shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. Sleeve: The sleeve and packaging might have slight wear and, or creasing.
Very Good (Record): Has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Sleeve: Normal wear and tear on the cover, without any major defects.
Good (Record): Has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. Sleeve: Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
Fair (Record): Is still playable, but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. Sleeve: Cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
