Description
GENESIS. Nursery Cryme Charisma CAS 1052. 1971. 1st pressing on the pink scroll label complete with textured gatefold sleeve.
Grading: -
Outer Sleeve: VG+
The lightly textured gatefold sleeve is graded as VG+ condition. There isn’t a great deal in the way of damage or significant wear, with the odd bit of rubbing here and there on the corners and top edge, but the cover is clean and free of any major defects. Close to EX- condition and a respectable example.
Vinyl: VG
The vinyl is in VG condition it display a moderate amount of generally light hairline marks on both sides with the occasional more noticeable hairlines. Whilst the hairlines are numerous, there’s nothing which is overly deep or looks more serious. It’s a well used copy, but a long way off being completely trashed or worn out.
Vinyl Audio – VG to VG+
On playback there is some low-level noise which is heard in the quieter passages through the playback but it doesn’t overly spoil the listening experience. The sound delivered was amazingly dynamic, clear and extremely powerful. I could not hear any groove distortion or evidence of groove wear but please note this isn’t a mint copy so some background noise is inevitable when it is played through. The disc sits and rotates flat on the turntable.
Stampers are fairly early, GT (19) and RD (20).

Overall, this is reasonably good copy of this LP. The sleeve is extremely presentable and whilst the disc is well used it still plays with a dynamic and clear sound.
Please note I grade conservatively. No overblown, overhyped description. I describe as I see (and hear!)
Postage and Packing:
All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping. Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers. My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
