The third album and second classic of the magnificent early Genesis albums.
So, so hard to find as a first press on the ultra collectable PINK SCROLL label. This will be a nice upgrade for many prog collectors
The heavy vinyl with high groovewalls provides a fantastic audio experience with channelling not equalled by the later CD version. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing Rotel amp and B&W three way speakers!!! A beautiful CLASSIC with supreme songcraft, a joy to listen to!!!!
Vinyl: EX. I'm very happy to be able to present this gem in this great condition. It has a very luscious gloss. Only lightly played . The audio is simply sublime played on my Technics deck with Linn Sondek cartridge and through my rotel amp and B&W speakers. This really heavy vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that went largely unnoticed at the time. Just one wispy hairline on side b, not feelable and no impact on the audio. There are some paper retraction traces only visible under a strong light but otherwise this vinyl is totallly worthy of an EX grade. Great replay on my premium sound system without any skips or jumps.The labels still retain their beautiful original appearance.
Gatefold Sleeve: EX+/NM. INCREDIBLE! A fantastic looked after matt textured gatefold . The sleeve is beautifully textured! It sits completely flat and this album has a nice sturdy structure with absolutely stunning artwork by Paul Whitehead. Lovely colours and not any creases or stickers. Incredibly, no wear on the edges and spine, the opening is super crisp as on day one of its existence (now 52 years old). The spine is fully legible, the opening is super crisp. The edges retain their full colour. The inside gatefold is mint. NO damage, NO tears, NO writing or stickers, a lovely example of this beautiful classic prog album!
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
