Do What Thou Wilt: “The Satanic Rites of British Rock Delivered From Acetates and Rare Pressings 1970 -1974”
Condition: EX/EX
Released back in January 2011 and now long out of print (only 205 were pressed), this comes in its hand painted sleeve with xeroxed booklet. This is my only spare copy -so don't sleep!
From Rabelais, via AC and the run out grooves of Led Zep III, I’ll bring you news of the release of an excellent compilation of 70s obscurities that really knocks the socks off most of the hippy/prog driven comps which mainly clog the avenues of 70s rock archivism. This comp totally oozes attitude with some major finds to be found within. The greasy lanky haired Gentleman behind Do What Thou Wilt has unearthed some major gems. The recordings are often very primitive as apart from 2 or 3 tracks which were released on private pressings, all the remainder did not get further than acetate stage, making this LP the only way to hear these tracks AND IT’S A VINYL ONLY RELEASE!!!!
All 14 tracks have something going for them, but it’s the harder hitting ones which forge a closer link between Freakbeat, Hard Glam, Heavy Bonehead and Deviant /Pink Fairies Proto Punk which makes this baby really stand out from the crowd.

Grading: I don’t use the term Mint. I don’t believe that records manufactured over 30 years ago, even if unplayed, can be called mint.
Grading is always sleeve/record
Excellent: Means either “near mint” to some very light marks with hardly any noticeable noise. Sleeve has no or only minor wear.
VG: Means some light noticeable background sound and more pronounced marks which do not affect the listening experience in a major way. Sleeve may be creased, minor discolouring, the odd fraying, slight ringwear, seam split and perhaps some minor writing.
G: means noticeable clicks or pop, may have scratches, but doesn’t skip or jump. Sleeve may be ripped, tape repair, large writing, sticker removal damage etc...
Fair:Not a pleasant listening experience, the disc is damaged, just a stop gap before upgrading. Sleeve might be badly damaged, not one to frame on the wall...
Postage: I combine postage- 2 singles for the same price as 1 for all countries. Thereafter UK 50p for each extra single, Europe 75p and USA/Asia £1 extra. If ordering more than 1 single, please await my invoice.
All records sent out in professional mailers with 2 stiffeners. Records packaged separately if housed in picture sleeve.
Insurance strongly recommended for high priced items and compulsory for packages of a value of over £80. Insurance added at cost. I retain proof of postage for all items. Items without insurance are sent at your own risk.
