Description
GENE VINCENT-AIN'T THAT TOO MUCH (Everest CBR 1006) released in 1982 simultaneously in France & The UK WHITE LABEL TEST PRESSING. THE LP is in Near-Mint condition
The LP is a white label test pressing (presumedly manufactured in France 21 Avril 1982). (see photo scans). One of the tracks ('Lonely Street') was, at the time, a previously unissued version. The cover is the standard UK issue. The standard release of this album was issued simultaneously in France and the UK in 1982.
The recordings were originally made in Hollywood, USA in 1966/67 and were first issued in the UK in 1967 on London Records (HAH 8333).
Condition: The vinyl LP is in near mint condition. It looks as though it has never been played...there are no spindle marks on the labels. Both labels are in excellent condition (no signs of spindle-wear and no other marks) The sleeve is in EX- condition. It has a little shelf-wear, particularly along the bottom edge and slight corner knocks.
I have a number of rare Gene Vincent issues (Promos, test pressings etc.) coming up on eBay over the coming weeks...so, if interested, please keep watching my 'new' listings each Thursday. Record Gradings: I use the standard Record Collector gradings for vinyl records M (Mint): Brand new condition - no marks - cover and inserts in perfect condition EX (Excellent): Shows some signs of the record having been played but very little lessening in sound quality The cover might have slight wear and/or slight creasing VG (Very Good): The record has obviously been played many times. There will be some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. The sound quality may have deteriorated but the general sound is still acceptable. Normal wear and tear on the cover but without major defects. G (Good): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated - perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover may suffer folding, creases, spine splits, discolouration etc. F (Fair), P (Poor), B (Bad): I do not normally put records in these grades on eBay except where the record is rare and still collectable whatever the condition.
