GASLIGHT / CHOIR - DOUBLE LP - Extremely rare UK Folk MONO Private Pressing from 1970 (Limited to 99 copies as far as I can find out)
This double album was pressed to commemorate the visit of Princess Anne to Taunton School in 1970 and Record 2 is an album of choral music by the School Choir, which, while very nice and well recorded is not really why this has become a Folk Classic!
It is Record 1 which has made this such a sought after item..A truly beautiful album of Self-penned, traditional and Cover songs by local folk band 'Gaslight'
Tracks are: North Sea Shore / Sometime Loving / Moonlight / I'll Tell My Ma / Gone the Rainbow / Portland Town / One of Us Cannot be Wrong / I Pity The Poor Immigrant / Henry Martin / Suzanne / Ballad of A Thin Man
What makes this even rarer is that it comes with the original Inserts with lyrics and background information about the songs

DETAILED CONDITION:
SLEEVE : a few light spots on the rear, otherwise Superb..barely a sign of wear: EX
INSERTS: Both as new: EX+
VINYL - RECORD ONE (GASLIGHT): a couple of ultrafine hairlines on each side..otherwise looks unplayed and plays beautifully: EX+
VINYL - RECORD TWO (CHOIR): Beautiful...looks unplayed and has that lovely unplayed 'sheen' : EX+

I use RC gradings, although I tend to undergrade, so that the buyer is fully satisfied - I only use the term 'Mint' if an item is sealed, So many of my EX and EX+ grades might be considered 'Mint' by many . I also do not believe there is much point in just putting EX/EX or VG+/EX as this can vary hugely between sellers, so I try to put in as detailed description as I can
