A MINT COPY OF THIS MEGA RARE FOLK 78 ON THE EQUALLY RARE IRISH GAEL-LINN LABEL - FEATURING A YOUNG LIAM CLANCY on AEOLIAN PIPES (later to be famous as founder of the legendary Clancy Brothers) ON ONE SIDE AND Seán 'AC DHONNCHA ON THE OTHER.
Gael Linn was founded in 1953 and has been known since then as an entrepreneurial organisation. The main aim of the organisation is to foster and promote the Irish language and its heritage throughout Ireland as a living language and as an expression of identity at policy and at community level.
Gael-Linn was the last company in Ireland to make 78 rpm records, on the basis that some of the people who enjoyed traditional music didn’t have electricity in their homes.

Just to let you know Liam Clancy of the Clancy Brothers is NOT on this record! It is Willie Clancy (Liam being Irish for William) the Uilleann Piper (it says Uilleann pipes in Irish 'Piob Uilleann') on the record playing the uilleann pipes. Just wanted to help you out so that you would not mis-sell this item.
