For Sale , and very reluctantly at that to be honest, my Frank Sinatra 16 Lp Record Limited Edition Boxed Set

This boxed set was manufactured in Japan on super pure Vinyl, so pure in fact that if you hold the records up to the light you can see through them!.

These albums are the cream of the Frank Sinatra Catalogue and features all albums recorded for Capitol Records from 1953 - 1962 apart from Compilations and the like.

Limited Edition Number 9224

This boxed set comes in a large outer Silver box with spaces to slide the 16 lp records into and also space for the Mobile Fidelity Geo Disk ( a disc which itself costs £50 to buy seperately ), The Geo disc is a Cartridge Allignment tool. 

the discs themselves are housed as follows

1. Rice Paper MFSL sleeve ( original ass supplied with the vinyls ).
2. Folded card inner sleeve which gives all the artwork of the album concerned and sleevenotes.
3. Silver Outer cardboard slipcase with Sinatra in raised type

This boxed set is one of the best boxed sets available and was limited to 10,000? copies Worldwide, if memory serves it was released by MFSL in 1984. And is highly sort after.

Prices range from £500 to £800 on ebay for this at any given period it very rarely comes up for sale here in the UK or Europe for that matter.

THE FULL STORY BEHIND THIS AMAZING BOX SET: 

THESE MFSL LP'S WERE pressed in Japan before Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs eventually pressed their Lps in the United States. The LP are Half-Speed Mastered with the Ortofon Cutting System from the Original Stereo Master Tapes. This MFSL LP has a special static free, dust free inner sleeve and heavy-duty protective packaging. This LP box set has been Out of Print for 25 years and a bonafide audiophiles collectible.  

MFSL LIMITED EDITION. This Limited Edition is an audiophile collectors item that simply gives the feeling of being directly in the studio with the artist. Used nothing but the finest lacquers. The more you play the LP, your stylus will polish the grooves and actually improve the sonics of your MFSL LP. This recording is mastered from the Original Session Tapes. This Out of Print LP has all Liner Notes, Photos, and Artwork from the Original LP faithfully recreated.

The albums for the most part have been unplayed out of the 16 albums id say i’ve only played three and those about twice each, so one would say they are in excellent condition.

The outer box itself has an area of wear to the top outer edge as can be clearly seen from the pictures, this can I am told be easily repaired to a high standard , but it doesn’t detract from the appeal of this set, i took the pictures to a book binder and he said probably around £20 to make the area practically invisible by repair , i’ve owned them for a time and if it wasn’t for unemployment they wouldn’t be even being sold!! 

These Lps were made in Japan all MFSL albums of which I own a few others including recent releases by MFSL of some of these are far inferior in both manufacture, quality Control and general Sound quality these are the creme de la creme!!, the lps are simply stunning and in wonderful condition.
