16-LP Set in Silver Box by Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Released in 1983 Limited Edition #411 of 10,000 <--- Low Number!Includes GeoDisc in its original box w/ instructions (for optimal cartridge alignment) Set was manufactured in the USA, but the vinyl was pressed in Japan.

This set belonged to a lady whose daughter used to work for MoFi and it has been sitting in the closet of a smoke-free home since the 1980's.
Pressed on high-quality “Super Vinyl” by JVC in Japan and half speed mastered for optimum sound quality.
Every title ever issued by Mobile Fidelity is collectible in its own right; their pressings from 1978 through 1989 were pressed in Japan by JVC on their proprietary Super Vinyl, an exceptionally resilient, dead-quiet vinyl compound, with later issues pressed in the U.S. by RTI. These records were mastered at half speed; both the tape and the cutting lathe were run at half the normal speed, allowing the cutting head to cut a more accurate groove in the acetate. The finished product featured dead-quiet vinyl, with improved dynamics, better imaging, and tighter bass. By their very nature, all of Mobile Fidelity’s titles were limited-edition pressings, and The Sinatra Collection was limited to a pressing of 10,000 of numbered copies.

The set was issued in a lavish silver box and a Geodisc phono cartridge alignment tool, with a little bit of space left over (perhaps for a booklet that was never made it into the set). Each of the albums were packaged in a special silver cover, with the albums' original artwork and liner notes printed on the posterboard stiffeners that were inserted into each cover to prevent warpage.
The vinyl has earned an overall visual grade of NEAR MINT or M- which is the highest grade I go with unsealed items, but if you are the type to refer to records as "mint" then you may find these to fit in that category. They look VERY clean with great luster and appear unplayed (both sides of Disc 1 pictured); but their play history cannot realistically be confirmed. All LPs come in an archival quality sleeve (what became the MoFi Master sleeve). The LP jackets/outer sleeves are in VG+/EX to NEAR MINT condition (some near perfect, some with a ding or light crease). The outer box is fully functional in VG+/EX shape with some signs of wear. It should be noted that the black tab is partially torn, but the box can be opened without using the tab. Refer to pictures for further detail.RCM Cleaning Option: While the records appear to be clean and all, they do have some dust on them (as expected). For an additional fee of $30 we will clean each LP using our Record Doctor V (a vacuum powered record cleaning machine) along with an alcohol free laboratory-grade industrial strength cleaning agent specifically formulated to clean vinyl records before sending them out to you.
