ABOUT THE MUSIC:
French pianist France Clidat, also called "Madame Liszt", studied with Lazare Levy at the Paris Conservatory, receiving first prize in piano in 1950. In 1956, she was a finalist at the Liszt Competition in Budapest, an event that launched her career as a concert artist renowned for her interpretations of the piano compositions of Liszt and Satie. She was awarded a Grand Prix du Disque for her recording of Liszt's complete works for the piano. Other recording projects have included explorations of works by Satie, Rachmaninov, and Grieg. She was made a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 1976 and a Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite in 1987. Clidat has taught at the École Normale de Musique in Paris and has published articles about the performance of Liszt's solo piano music.
She gives a lot of master classes in France, Canada and Japan.

I come from a musician's family and already my father was a great collector of classical records. I inherited his big collection and added lots of records during my professional life.
Now I sell a part of it before I move into a smaller house.
The collection contains records with the conductors Klemperer, Furtwangler, Schuricht, Cluytens, Sawallisch, Toscanini, there are records with the violinists Yehudi Menuhin, Devy Erlih, Michele Auclair, Ruggiero Ricci, Johanna Martzy, Arthur Grumiaux, Wolfgang Schneiderhan, Nathan Milstein, Erika Molinari, Jascha Heifetz, Fritz Kreisler, Accardo, Leonid Kogan and lots of less known excellent violonists.
There is also a bunch of performances of the cellists Jean Fournier, Enesco, Professor Mainardi, Janos Starker and Honegger, the pianists Svjatoslav Richter, Vladimir Horowitz, Gyorgi Cziffra, Samson Francois, Radu Lupu, Clara Haskil, Julius Katchen, Dinu Lipatti, Martha Argerich and many many more.
