Description

FATS DOMINO - The Rockin' Mr D.   volume 3          EP              London REP 1265                  Original Picture Sleeve      Condition: NM One of the true greats of the rock and roll movement, poor Fats has had a hard time of it since being smashed out of his New Orleans house by Hurricane Katrina, with the loss of all his prized photographs though the RIAA has replaced his golden discs or him. I wish him well, for he has given me many hours of pleasure over the years, both on disc and live at the Hammersmith Odeon, where he brought the house down.
There are no marks, pops, scratches, pen or pencil writing or discolouration of any kind on the cover (either side) or on the vinyl! It really is a top copy!
Tracks are: "Blueberry Hill", "Margie", "Lil' Liza Jane", and "I want to walk you home".
I play the A side of my sale records on an original Monarch turntable, the successor to the Dansette. These machines were tailor made for the early vinyl so if there was anything untoward, it would soon be found. If you disagree with the rating, don't make a fuss - ask for that refund!
Listed by Record Collector Price Guides at £30.00. This copy worth £20.00 (33% discount!).
VERY IMPORTANT POSTAGE NOTICE I am increasingly disabled and unable to walk without assistance. That means I have to ask someone else to go to the Post Office for me and that cannot be arranged every day just to suit Ebay purchasers.
POSTAGE WILL THEREFORE BE EVERY 7 TO 10 WORKING DAYS. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM ME AND THEN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE SLOW SERVICE OR OPEN A CASE FOR NON-DELIVERY. CUSTOMERS WILL ONLY PAY THE STANDARD CLASS MAIL PRICE, BUT IF THERE IS A DELAY ON MY PART, THE ITEMS WILL BE SENT FIRST CLASS AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.  If you do wait you will receive a quality item, or in the rare event that you do not agree with me, a 100% no quibble guarantee including postage.

PRICE BREAKDOWN FOR U.K:   Large letter postage charge for 10 cm x 10 cm x 1 cm and weight up to half a kilo is £1.48 second class and £1.65 first class. PACKAGING:   Secure envelope costs averaging 20-30 pence, with one or two strengtheners costing 10-20 pence. These items bought from Ebay sellers. It is obvious therefore that I do not overcharge for posting items to customers. PLEASE ENQUIRE for prices of larger amounts. Regular customers will receive even lower charges, or even FREEPOST, as a reward for loyalty.
Despite what EBAY says, the carrier (i.e. the Post Office or courier firm) is responsible for the loss in transit of correctly paid for and addressed mail items and NOT the seller. That is UK law. Therefore, I will assist wherever possible of course, in a variety of ways, but ultimate traceability rests with the carrier and their in-place systems for doing so. I cannot refund lost items and buying an item from me means you accept that.
WHO AM I?
HonestDave'sRecords has been successfully selling 1950's and 1960's singles and LP's at record fairs for nearly 40 years and on Ebay for 7 years. In fact I handle anything between 1955 and 1972, from any number of fields including: Pop, Beat, Soul, Northern Soul, Tamla Motown, Reggae, Instrumentals, Solo Girls and Boys and Girl Groups. If you want a fright, my photo and stall set out at a major London fair is on the mE button adjacent to my user name above. I have bought so many recently that I have no idea what I have or don't have - so if you have a specific requirement, look under the mE button for the means to get hold of me. If I have the item you want, I will load it on Ebay for you. At any one time I will have between five and eight thousand (5,000-8,000) singles and EP's. There may be a few LP's but these are really too heavy for any more - I cannot pick them up and my car objects to what it has to carry now!). Prices range from clearance items at £1.50 - £1.95, through huge numbers in the range £2.25 - £4.95, and the we get to the harder examples in the pop, instrumental, beat, girl groups and soloists, straight soul and northern soul from £5.95 all the way up to Eddie Holland singles on Oriole at £500.00. 99% of my stock is UK issued, though a few will be American or European and will say so; most will have the original or an exact replica of the company sleeve it was issued in and almost all will have the original centre intact - a very few desirable ones may be sold with the centre punched out.
My lowest sales category is Very Good although only a few will actually be found listed as low as that. I try to ensure that all items should be in Very Good Plus, Excellent or Near Mint condition as defined by Record Collector Price Guides. I never use the condition Mint as it cannot be proved to my satisfaction. However, there is always the odd bad one that slips through the net when you deal in the numbers I do, and don't forget that even in 1965, duff copies came off the production line and these could still be out there.
If you should find any of my records are not as described, don't rush to leave negative feedback or poor marks on my seller ratings - I hate this system and it achieves nothing, despite what Ebay may think. It causes only bad feeling and solves nothing! Honest Dave offers a 100% money back, including all postage costs guarantee to any unsatisfied buyer. I will NOT require the item back - if it isn't any good to you, then it certainly isn't for me so throw it in the bin.
