Description
Postage and packaging is free in the UK if you accept second class post and the possible up to five days delivery time - this means you may have to wait ten to twelve days after the auction closes before you receive the item. Complain to Ebay if you don't like it - it's their policy change that has forced this on sellers. All First Class rates and all European and Overseas rates include post and packaging costs. The extra costs incurred by Ebay's charging policy are added to the starting price.
With best possible quality items and at good prices, HonestDave is one of East Anglia's biggest collectors and sellers of vinyl from the best era in pop music 1958 - 1972, suitable for individual turntables or to replace worn out examples on the jukebox at the pub! There are always around 2000 - 3000 items available for sale at any one time but I only load a few hundred at a go. My credentials can be checked with VIP Fairs in Leicester if required. Please remember that records from this era are now between 37 and 51 years old and therefore their condition has to be viewed in relation to their age. Some of them are wearing better than myself! I use the respected Record Collector Magazine's Grading System (see the bottom of the page) to work out what I think is a fair description - I would not normally sell something in a condition that I would turn down myself when buying for my own extensive collection and therefore 95% of my items will be in EXCELLENT condition with a very few, usually extremely rare, items being no lower than VERY GOOD.
All items are fully guaranteed to cover any description errors or omissions. In all cases where the buyer disagrees with my description, a full unconditional refund is made. See clause 5 (below the postage rates) for more detail on this guarantee.
All records will have been washed and inspected under a bright light before being at least partially played on a good quality sound system. Please note that vinyl that has been stored unplayed for years is likely to have some minor background noise for the first few plays until remaining ingrained dirt is removed by the needle. You should always wash old records from time to time with liquid soap and in warm, not hot water, rubbing the vinyl steadily with your fingers in the direction of the grooves. Drain off the excess water and play once or twice whilst still wet! Do not use other cleaning fluids or abrasive cloths.
WHAT AM I SELLING?
Fats Domino - Blues For Love Vol. 2. EP London REU1062
A great early EP from the fantastic Fats. A gold-lettering tri-centre copy, it is extremely rare. Can you afford to miss this one? The four tracks are "My Blue Heaven", "I'm In Love Again", "So Long" and "When My Dreamboat Comes Home". There is just a very faint ring on the cover and one tiny piece of the laminate missing at the top right hand corner. The vinyl is shining like new and therefore this record which is listed by Record Collector at £80.00 MINT, is selling here, graded justifiably Excellent condition, and at a bargain price. IT IS BOUND TO INCREASE IN VALUE.
QUALITY - any exceptions to the following statement will be clearly listed in the notes about the disc. If nothing appears there, the disc will play perfectly adequately, with little, if any, background noise, and without pops, skips or jumps.
All LP records should be assumed as being in original covers, on the original label and first pressing, with both covers and vinyl in Excellent condition. All EP's will normally come with original covers and also be the original label and first pressing, with both covers and vinyl in Excellent condition. About 85% of my 45's will be in an original Company sleeve according to the issue label, or, where an original was not available at time of sale, in a replica issue cover. The quality of original sleeves may vary because they are, of course, getting on for or exceeding 50 years old, but most will be VG. The remaining 15% of the 45rpm records sold will have plain paper sleeves because either the company sleeve was never issued or is impossible to find. Further replica sleeves can be obtained subsequently from Doug Price. See his website www.bigboppa.co.uk. A truly massive research project into Company sleeves has been undertaken by Erling Mehl in Norway. This great source of information is available on http://45-sleeves.com.
Please note that for me, Ebay is only a hobby and not my life or my business - they both come first. Therefore, for much of the year, due to pressure of work, I am not normally able to post any item during the working week, and so do the packing on Sundays and post on the first available Monday after closure of the sale. Expected delivery times are shown in note 2) below depending on where you live and whether you choose Second Class (free) or First Class (paid for) Mail. Please do not choose Second Class postage and then leave neutral or negative feedback complaining about slow receipt of goods - if you want the item quicker pay for First Class; if you want the item on your doormat the next day, please do NOT bid for my records. Feedback is left at the time of posting.

If I have a spare copy of any lost item I will offer that at reduced rates wherever possible.

That way everyone, including myself, is treated fairly. PLEASE DO NOT RETURN ITEMS BEFORE CONTACTING ME - YOU MAY BE WASTING MONEY BY DOING SO. There is no need for Neutral or Negative feedback to be left at all - just talk to me and you cannot lose financially although you may not get the record if I do not have a spare. Any buyer that gives Neutral or Negative feedback without contacting me is will NOT be refunded and will be immediately blocked from further auctions!
6) If you have a wants list you are welcome to send it by email to info@trainseurope.co.uk with as much detail as you can, plus the maximum amount you are prepared to pay. Add a telephone number so I can call you if I find the record at a fair.
RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE QUALITY GRADES (with additional personal notes)
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. I will not use this grade unless I can personally prove it has never been played or is still sealed.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. The majority of my sales are at this grade.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. I will occasionally sell a record at this grade but it will be clearly marked as such.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. Only if the record is very rare, and worthy of sale, will I very occasionally offer vinyl at GOOD on Ebay. In normal circumstances, I use the grade GOOD to refer to a record where the vinyl is at least VERY GOOD or even EXCELLENT, but is let down by its cover. This would only happen if I do not have a replacement cover.
FAIR, POOR or BAD: I do not sell any record in a condition as low as this - these have already been consigned to the rubbish bin!
