Rare greybound (and greyback) box (linen, the back is grey paper) with grey lettering. Usually you will find the redbound box. But it is the box with the first front cover!! No applause at the end of the last movement (first time in the second German issue). See my other auction with the second German issue. Made in Germany.
First German issue. Near mint condition. Both records are heavy 220 gram pressings (goldsquare label) in 2 gatefold sleeves!

Sinfonie Nr. 9 d-moll op. 125 (Olsen 253). Wilhelm Furtwängler dirigiert Chor und Orchester der Bayreuther Festspiele 1951 mit Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Elisabeth Höngen, Hans Hopf und Otto Edelmann als Solisten.
Aufgenommen am 29. Juli 1951 im Bayreuther Festspielhaus anlässlich der Wiedereröffnung der Bayreuther Festspiele am 29. Juli 1951. Hergestellt nach einem im Privatbesitz befindlichen Tonband, veröffentlicht mit Genehmigung von Wieland und Wolfgang Wagner und Frau Elisabeth Furtwängler.
Kassette und Platten sehr gut erhalten, die Platten in den originalen Klapphüllen. Die Schallplatten sind 220 Gramm schwere Pressungen.
Erste deutsche Pressung! Seltene graugebundene Kassette mit dem ersten Frontbild (normalerweise rotes Überzugspapier, hier graues Leinen und graues Überzugspapier auf der Rückseite).
