Description
FREE: Fire and Water, UK Pink (!) Island ILPS 9120, very FIRST pressing, on extremely heavy vinyl & with the textured/rough Island labels. A//1, B//1 matrixes. This thick vinyl very first UK pressing is very hard to come by and seems to produce a punchier sound than any other pressing of this LP.
VINYL is graded EXCELLENT+++ to MINT-. A first inspection it appears perfect, and under strong light only a few ultra light & thin hairlines show. None of these affect sound. A notoriously ‘difficult’ pressing, this LP plays superbly, with only a few odd tics and minimal surface noise in the quiet moments. But in conclusion, a fantastic player! Labels each show a few spindlemarks, but I’m sure this LP was played less than 5 times in total. Comes with orig ‘correct’ innersleeve (Patents pending, UK poly inner, with a yellowish tone, the type often used for UK Pink Island LPs from this period).
COVER is graded MINT-, EXTREMELY hard to find in this condition! If not nearly impossible. Please see all pics. This is the best first pressing cover I have ever seen for this LP. Comes with ‘correct’ polylined innersleeve in perfect condition.

GRADINGS
- MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else.
- EX is also VERY nice, 2-3 light marks perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
- VG+, a nice player, but probably has some visual impairments, and some clicks or light noise in places; always see the individual description.
- VG: Rarely put of for sale, an ok copy, but always see the individual description.
PLAYGRADING
I play-grade parts of or whole LPs to determine the actual sound-quality of the item. Palygrading is done on a quality system with an Linn LP12 as the main source.
SHIPPING
I SHIP IN BAND NEW CRUCIFORM shipping boxes with stiffeners & extra corner protection always added. .The boxes are slightly bigger than the normal LP-size, thereby providing good protection of corners and edges. I remove LPs from sleeves, in order to prevent seam-splits on transit.
