Genesis: Pressfehler bei Selling England Picture Disc
Tangerine Dreams "Rubycon" spielt "Selling England" - und umgekehrt
Selling England By The Pound wurde am vergangenen Freitag zum ersten Mal überhaupt im Rahmen des 40jährigen Jubiläums der Plattenfirma Virgin offiziell als Picture Disc LP veröffentlicht. Zeitgleich erschien auch das Album Rubycon von Tangerine Dream als 12" Picture Disc. Warum wir das hier explizit erwähnen? Die optisch ansprechende Selling England By The Pound enthält das Album Rubycon von Tangerine Dream. Und die Tangerine Dream Picture Disc spielt Selling England By The Pound.
Zum derzeitigen Zeitpunkt können wir noch nicht sagen, ob dies die gesamte Auflage betrifft. Aufgefallen ist es einem Fan, der beide Alben als Picture Disc erworben hatte. Unter Umständen kommt es zu einer Neuauflage, womit diese Fehlpressung Seltenheitswert erlangen dürfte. Derzeit sind die Vinyl-Alben noch verfügbar.

Tangerine Dream's "Rubycon" plays "Selling England" and vice versa
Selling England By The Pound has been released on Friday in Germany and today in the other European states for the first time as an official picture disc LP to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Virgin Records. At the same time Tangerine Dream's album Rubycon has also been released as a 12" picture disc. Why do we mention this here? Simply because the attractive Selling England By The Pound LP plays Rubycon by Tangerine Dream, and the Tangerine Dream Picture Disc plays Selling England By The Pound.
We do not know for sure whether this concerns the whole batch. The mistake was noticed by a German fan who has bought (and played) both picture discs. There may be a second edition which could make this wrong pressing a rarity. At the moment, the vinyl records are still available and we do not further information about a possible new pressing so far.
