This is for:  FRANK ZAPPA, THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION, ZUBIN METHA AND L.A. PHILARMONIC, "200 MOTELS" ON TMOQ 71010.  Likely this is the most famous Zappa's underground ever, a soundboard recording of the may 15 1970 performance at UCLA, featuring the suite 200 Motels played with the then young Zubin Metha with the L.A. Philarmonic Orchestra. By the way, mr. Metha was here in Florence some week ago: I could ask him to sign this, but I didn't... Jokes apart, this might be interesting for the collectors: despite its catalogue # 71010, this is reportedly the very first TMOQ released as such, i.e. with the standard early TMOQ lay-out, rubber stamp, color vinyl, 1/2 labels on plain color, regular pig glossy sticker. Previous TMOQ titles had been already issued in several forms, but this record originally came on the TMOQ standard.  This copy is pressed on beautiful PINKISH /MAGENTA vinyl. Moreover, it's in fantastic shape for it's age (35 years now!!!). Consider how delicate and subject to get dirty is this white cover... most of the (few) copies of this very first issue you may find nowadays are quite thrashed, so this is really a rare find. Wonderful and rare! Don't miss it!
