GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : il film è del 1966 ma in quell'epoca fu pubblicato soltanto un singolo su etichetta RCA. Solo 20 anni dopo grazie alla richiesta dell'etichetta Intermezzo la RCA Italiana pubblicò in edizione limitata e per la prima volta l'album della colonna sonora.

Bella musica con tutti i tipici ingredienti dei films spaghetti western ben composti e diretti da De Masi, un compositore che conosceva la musica come pochi altri. Ascoltando l'album troviamo un pò di tutto riguardo a questo genere come evocazioni di cavalcate, tensione e paura, tema d'amore, mistero, epicità. Sono spesso presenti strumenti come l'armonica ed il banjo. Tra le traccie sottolineo "Tema di Arizona" (a1) ben sviluppato dalla chitarra e dal fischio di Alessandro Alessandroni, "Preludio, Strip Tease e Fuga" (a10), bella traccia con vari temi  che seguono uno dopo l'altro guidati prima dalla chitarra acustica, poi dal banjo e l'armonica, infine dall'orchestra. Impossibile terminare senza menzionare "Arizona Colt" (b10), splendida ballata cantata da Raoul in Inglese con il supporto dei Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni, armonica e batteria.

I titoli dei venti brani con la loro durata possono esser letti guardando il retrocopertina raffigurato nella scansione n° 2.

Notes : the film was shot in 1966 but at that time was released only a single on RCA label. Only 20 years later thanks to the the label request Intermezzo Italian RCA issued in limited edition and the soundtrack album for the first time.

Beautiful music with all the typical ingredients of the spaghetti western films well composed and conducted by De Masi, a composer who knew the music like few others. Listening to the album we find a bit of everything concerning this genre as evocations of rides, tension and fear, love theme, mystery, epic. Are often featured instruments like the harmonica and banjo. Among the tracks I underline "Theme of Arizona" (a1) well performed on the guitar and whistle by Alessandro Alessandroni, "Preludio, Strip Tease e Fuga" (a10), beautiful track with various themes that follow one after another led before from the acoustic guitar, then the banjo and harmonica, and finally the orchestra. Impossible end without mentioning "Arizona Colt" (b10), the nice ballad sung by Raoul in English with the support of I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni, harmonica and drums.

The titles of the twenty tracks with their lenght can be read looking at the back cover depicted in the scan No. 2.
