FOREST - Forest LP (UK Harvest SHVL 760, 1969)
Mega rare UK 1st Press (from October 1969) of great Forest debut LP - with NO "EMI" logo on label (above "Harvest") and with "1-G" stamped on both sides - which mean THE VERY FIRST Pressing!
Most probably this is the best copy available on market. I can't imagine that the better one exist (an equal one, yes, maybe...). Check all 12 photos, please!
This is the right item for the most fussy and most picky collectors. This is NOT typical, slightly tired EX+++/M---- album (with numerous, hidden flaws...), but solid Near Mint! This copy comes from my private collection and is absolutely IMMACULATE. It was played twice by myself and the cover looks like pressed a year ago! Vinyl was cleaned off very carefully on Clearaudio Matrix cleaning machine.
Matrixes: SIDE 1: SHVL 760 A - 1G & 1 at 9 o'clock & G at 3 o'clock SIDE 2: SHVL 760 B - 1G & 1 at 9 o'clock & G at 3 o'clock
Cover: M(-) NO wears, NO creases, NO wrinkles, NO slightest wears on bottom edges (!!!), NO slight of wears or creases along the spine, NO wears or dirt on spine, NO surface marks, NO glue remains, NO stains, NO mould, NO rot, NO writings, NO wears on both edges, NO dirt at all. Like new! The only slighest issue are micro-bumps on 3 corners - every measures 2-4 mm (1/10 - 1-8 inch). And I'm very fussy about, now!
Record: M- It looks perfect on both sides, although on one side there are some typical for EMI micro-shades on the very surface - NOT marks or dust issues! Under very bright light I have found just 2-3 lightest surface marks. Dead wax is flawless. I have playgraded the whole album (on MC Ortofon Bronz cartridge with SME III tonearm) and it plays immaculate! NO slight noises, NO single clicks, NO nothing! It plays very clearly from beginning to an end. This is quite rare issue to find Harvest record plays so clean!
Labels: M(-) Perfect, with absolutely NO spindle mark on. There are 2 very thin, factory marks (1,5 cm long each) on one label, but the colour it's not worn at all. Very minor issue.
I HAVE INCLUDED ORIGINAL HARVEST INNER SLEEVE (in EX+ condition) - WHICH WASN'T ACTUALLY RELEASED UNTIL LATE 1970 (OVER 1 YEAR AFTER FOREST LP RELEASE), BUT WILL BE FINE ADDITION TO THAT PERFECT ITEM!
