LITTLE WILLIE JOHN – “Fever” (1956) King-564 original MONO 1st Pressing with WHITE NURSE COVER and 2-inch King deep groove logo EX/Strong VG+ (cover/record)

Super rare original 1st pressing of this R&B classic. It is the white nurse cover issue and earliest 2-inch King black label deep groove mono pressing. The label quickly pulled this cover and replaced it with a thermometer, and it was then issued with the 3-inch logo lable. These true first pressings are imposible to find in this state of preservation. You almost never see vintage R&B albums in this sort of beautiful condition.

This is an original pressing. The cover is a beautiful ORIGINAL WHITE NURSE cover w/almost no wear. It has only a few seam flecks in top spine corner (see photos) - NO SEAM SPLITS. There are small initials “GK” written on the back top left crner in blue ball point. The paste on white slick on the back cover is super crisp and hardly aged at all – no yellowing. The vinyl is in beautiful condition. Side one is EX with the slightest sleeve scuffs and beautiful gloss. Side 2 has a few very light hairline scuffs but is still glossy and super clean – Strong VG+. This plays great too. Conservative Grading: EX/Strong VG+. Probably nicer.

I package all LPs securely in record mailers and remove the vinyl from the covers to prevent seam splits during mailing. I do not just stick your record in a priority mailer box from the post office or between two thin pieces of cardboard with no additional packaging materials like so many others!!!
