Japanese Proto-Doom Metal masters Flower Travelin Band came roaring out of the gate with this, their 1970 debut. They were the first in along line of bands directly influenced by Black Sabbath's debut album, and along with them, and to a lesser degree Pentagram, they pretty much invented Doom Metal. This is an album of covers (Including a cover of the song Black Sabbath) given Flower Travelling Bands customary intensely passionate heavy swirling psychedelic-doom Guitar and carnal thudding Drums treatment, layered over with Vocalist Joe Yamanaka's primordial wails. In other words, it's a total knockout
