Released in 1968, I am offering today this hard to find first UK MONO pressing on the POLYDOR label of this debut album from FAIRPORT CONVENTION that's simply titled "FAIRPORT CONVENTION". This album features the beautiful vocals of original Fairport vocalist JUDY DYBLE.
Unfortunately there is a pressing fault on the second track on side two which causes it to stick. otherwise the rest of the album plays through with very good audio.
The album comes complete with E J DAY printed fully laminated single sleeve which is in very good condition, it has no splits stickers or unwanted writing etc but shows some light ringwear.
I have just played this through for these listing purposes and have to say that because of the stick on the track SUN SHADE this is only suitable as a filler till a better one comes along or for someone that needs an original sleeve.
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually looks very good. but plays with a stick on the track SUN SHADE.
The SLEEVE, The E J Day fully laminated single sleeve is reasonably clean, with no splits or unwanted writing etc and has a fully legible spine. There is light ring wear along with some laminate creases etc.
The LABELS, The Polydor labels are clean, showing moderate spindle wear but no stickers or unwanted writing etc.
The INNER, The original generic white inner is clean and free from unwanted writing or splits etc.
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
PLEASE NOTE THIS WILL NOT TURN INTO ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE ACCURATELY DESCRIBED ALBUM THAT I HAVE LISTED
