On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Fairport Convention called "Fairport Convention" and is an INCREDIBLY rare 1968 UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS HAS TO BE REGARDED AS ONE OF THE VERY HARDEST FAIRPORT CONVENTION LP TO FIND!!!! THIS IS A STUNNING COPY OF THIS MEGA RARE LP!!!! SO DONT MISS OUT!!!! The Cat. No is 583 035 on the ORIGINAL Polydor Label (see picture) and is a stereo 1st pressing!!!! It is a VERY early 1st pressing too - with A1/B1 matrix endings!!!! All the tracks are Pure quality Fairport Convention at their best!!!! Any fan of Fairport Convention, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection - especially in this condition!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! THIS RECORD HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!! Most of these LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines and only a very VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under EXTREME light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD RETAINS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is also great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!! It plays with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, and NO crackle!!!! There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion. The record must grade MINT(Minus)!!!! TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL inner sleeve!!!! The Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the back is in STUNNING condition with NO yellowing, NO wear, NO writing, and NO grubbyness!!!! The only downside to the cover is some slight creasing - mainly near to the top two corners on the front/back of the cover. Even with this creasing the cover still retains a VERY flat looking appearance, with VERY shiny laminate!!!! The cover must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!!
HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this RARE LP in this sort of condition!!!! THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL 1968 STEREO 1ST PRESSING OF "FAIRPORT CONVENTION" BY FAIRPORT CONVENTION, IN STUNNING CONDITION!!!!
