MMM 1201,,,,,,,,,,Very Rare Metal.............I tested it the disc is flat no warps,,,,,,,,,and played beautifully, has a couple of ultra light hairlines.............very lightly played. Disc is excellent at least, cover is vg+ to vg++.................Sounds like Power Metal, sounds like Dio type stuff................two lead guitars songs include EXPLORER; PRELUSION; RUN FOR TOMMORROW; CITY STREETS; WORLD WAR ; GOIN TO HELL; METAL DETECTORS; OBJECTION OVERKILLED others.........................look at the prices for this on Ebay and Popsike.........it can't be had for under 140 dollars.   This is a quality copy.  

1. You Made Me Live (Bonus Track)

The music was US-Metal in purity, including even a piano track with "Prelusion". That was enough of "symphonies", so nothing for people, who expected some opera parts or some strings. That happened not yet in Metal that time around. The vocals are probably not to tolerate by young Metal fans because they were too cheepy and to brightly mixed, especially on the opener "City Streets". The joke was, that there had been two vocalists, Armando Dias and the rather better Lenny Rizzo. I don't know why. But at least, as a traditional banger, you have to know songs like "Run For Tomorrow", or the two-parted "Objection Overruled" or the tearful half-ballad "World War III".

A long time, it was silent around EXXPLORER, but in 1994, the band came back with "A Recipe For Power". An undervalued album, including much jewels and a Lennie Rizzo, who improved a lot with his vocals. In spite of this, the record couldn't destroy their fame and it has drowned in the mass. In 1997, they had their last comeback with "Coldblackugly", which hadn't something in common with the classical Metal of the previous records. It was an absolute flop and EXXPLORER disappeared from the scene.

The re-release of the UNDERGROUND SYMPHONY sublabel Heavy Metal Heroes offers a great booklet, including all lyrics, a history and as special, 4 bonus tracks. These are all unreleased and should show the prospective direction of EXXPLORER. The songs had been recorded in 2001, though without original vocalist Rizzo. The new man is Jim Abbiati and he is a coequal substitute. The songs are also rightly well-made, but they haven't to do with the typical style of the band. But it's definitive classical Metal. One bad point to mention is the "ingenious" black cover, which reminds me of METALLICAs black album. The booklet is illustrated with all three covers, a well as the French, the American and as the by the band self-financed one. Especially the American Metal Blade cover looks like really cool!
