Eric Dolphy OUT TO LUNCH - Music Matters 2lp 45RPM Edition. This copy is SEALED AND MINT! And it is Super Low #0145. A legendary record, perhaps Dolphy's defining statement. Great recording and instrumentation. Here's your chance to get this out of print rarity at a fair market price!
Condition: The LP is sealed and mint. Please note that the perforated strip on the outer sleeve has separated slightly along the spine at the bottom (best seen in Picture 2, bottom right). The separation is a little less than 3/4" and there is NO issue with the cover.
ABOUT 45 RPM PRESSINGS While some folks don't like the 45 RPM format (yes, you do have to get up and change sides more often), it's not hype: with more vinyl real estate for your stylus to operate within, volume levels are maintained consistently across all tracks (with 33 1/3, as you get closer to the inner groove you will lose volume because the grooves get smaller), and there's LOTS more room for the bass frequencies. A mastering engineer has to juggle all these factors, usually leading to certain compromises, when pressing at 33 1/3. The common wisdom in the audiophile community is that, when done well, 45 rpm pressings are as close as you'll get to the master tape.
