Description

I’m an artist who has painted a series called “Iconic Album Covers” in which I have created album covers into 36”x 36” oil paintings on canvas.  I created this series to explore a fading art form in the digital media age.  The originals are thickly painted in a way that when you stand 8 feet away they look just like a photograph, but when you step up close you see how heavy and impasto the paint is.  The paintings transcend the original album covers because they look much better. 

 

What you get is a high quality giclee on canvas print of the original painting I created.  These are 30”x30” stretched canvas ready for framing.  The paintings were digitally photographed with a high resolution Hasselblad digital camera so they are of the highest quality scans. 

They are then printed using an Epson 9890 large format printer with pigmented archival ink so they will be fade resistant for 200 years. These are not just poorly blown up copies of the original that others are selling on Ebay.
