Description
This is an auction for an original copy of the RARE 1972 Elvis Presley single An American Trilogy / The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face released in the USA.
The record itself (74-0672 orange Label) is in EXCELLENT- / VERY GOOD+ condition and retains a lot of it's natural sheen.
There are a few light marks / scratches (nothing too deep or drastic)
The labels are CRISP,CLEAN and have NO WRITING.
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as a cool $85(£56) in the condition it is in now(which i would say is EXCELLENT-)for the sleeve alone!!!
The sleeve advertizes From Elvis' "STANDING ROOM ONLY" Album!
This album was never released with this title as the album was released as Elvis as recorded at Madison Square Garden!
This picture sleeve is one of those harder to find releases!
There are NO SPLITS, RIPS,TEARS or WRITING (see photos)
The only thing that stops this from grading even higher is some creases. (see photos).
I would grade the sleeve as EXCELLENT.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this great sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $115(£75 approx) .I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £80.
I WILL START THAT AT UNDER A HALF OF THAT!!!!!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
