Description
Elvis Presley’s 1956 debut album. Original LPM-1254. VG+/VG+.
The sound is amazing, no skips or noticeable crackling sounds – very rich in tone. The lettering on the label is silver. There are slightly visible scuffs from paper sleeve, which do not affect the sound at all.
The record and the outer jacket are in VG+ condition, with minor wear. There is a tiny sticker in the upper left corner of album cover where someone numbered their LPs. I did not try to remove it. Also, there is a little matching one on the record label, which is blacked out. It doesn’t cover any lettering.
The album is protected by inner and outer plastic liners. I do not have the original inner paper sleeve.
This album has the distinction of being the first rock ‘n roll album to go to the top of the charts and the first rock album to sell a million copies. More importantly, Elvis’ voice and the musical artistry of this album is the sweetest, rockin’est sound I’ve heard ever heard. Every song seems to be so filled with a cool, youthful energy – still filled with the hope of what could be done with a guitar in his hands and an audience to play for. This is a must-have album for any music lover.
