Having spent 20 years in the music industry performing, touring and producing, I decided to park the van and leave all that to the next generation. It's a young person's game after all.

With a bit of time on my hands and an enthusiasm for music media, I soon became a zealous collector of the original format. The artwork, the look, the smell and the feel of a vinyl record continues to intrigue me and that's before I've even put it on the turntable. There's no point in getting too hung up about sonics and tonality as it's a very well researched topic and the science speaks for itself but that's for you to decide.

Now we have a dedicated team working hard to put together an extensive collection of LPs, EPs and 45s covering all manner of genres including rock, pop, prog, blues, jazz, funk & classical plus many more. Whether you are an avid enthusiast, trader or serious collector, Vinyl XP has something for you. PACKAGING

Items will be packed in premium quality professional record mailers and orders will be dispatched within 24 hrs of payment being received excluding weekends and bank holidays. 12" vinyl will be placed outside the cover to prevent seam splits while in transit. Bulk items will be packaged appropriately with extra protection if required.

All records will include brand new premium quality polythene outer sleeves. LPs & 12" singles will also include premium quality anti-static inner sleeves. Naturally, original inners and any inserts will also be included for authenticity.

SHIPPING

*** All UK orders over £20.00 qualify for free postage using Royal Mail 48 Tracked delivery service. *** Premium services are also available.

Singles and smaller items are dispatched using Royal Mail 2nd class by default to keep delivery costs to a minimum. Options for 48 tracked/next day delivery are also available.

12" records are dispatched using Royal Mail 48 tracked and again, options for premium services are available.

If your combined order is less than £20.00 then combined/multi shipping discounts are available - £1.50 per LP/0.50 per Single - Choose at checkout or contact VXP for support. If you've already paid and ebay have charged you incorrectly - we'll refund the difference.

INTERNATIONAL

Please check the postage and payments tab on the product page to determine the cost of dispatch as this will vary greatly depending on the item and destination.

All International orders are shipped using a tracked service.

GRADING

Here at Vinyl XP we are extremely careful in providing an accurate description of vinyl and cover condition using the grading criteria below. We are also careful in researching GENUINE pressing information.

MINT (M): The record is in brand new condition and never been played. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster should be in perfect condition. Most records graded as mint should be sealed.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record shows very limited signs of being used including an inspection of spindle wear with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster should be in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little reduction in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have very slight wear/creasing.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+): The record may have light wear/very occasional surface noise but displays no major deterioration in sound quality and still offers a pleasurable listening experience with no skips or jumps. The cover and packaging might have slight wear/creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks/noise and the occasional light scratch but no skips or jumps. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects unless included in the description are acceptable.

GOOD PLUS (G+): The record has obviously been played many times and may display a significant deterioration in sound quality with noticeable surface marks/noise and occasional scratches but no skips or jumps. Items graded as such are often considered for their collectible value rather than listening quality. Cover and extra items may suffer from heavy wear and tear which will be included in the description.
