Description

This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1969 release of How Great Thou Art / His Hand In Mine released in the USA.

The record itself (74-0130 dog on left) is in EXCELLENT+ condition and retains ALL of it's natural sheen.(looks almost unplayed!!)

 THIS REALLY IS A BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!(see photos)

The labels are CRISP, CLEAN and have NO WRITING(see photos)

The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $180 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD+ )for the sleeve alone!!!

This sleeve has NO RIPS,TEARS OR WRITING!(see photos)

The only thing that stops this from grading higher is some ringwear / creases (very common with this release) and a small seam split each side at the top opener and on the bottom.

The ORIGINAL shop price stamp of 75c can be seen on the How Great Thou Art side. (see photos)

This also has the rarity of being misprinted where the blue colour appears to have run into the images causing a shadow effect!

That said this is a nice enough addition to a collection (especially with the condition of the record) until that MINT $300 (£200+) record and sleeve comes along!

If you are also a collector of rare variations of a sleeve , then this misprinted version is another great additon to your collection!

THIS IS ONLY THE 2ND COPY OF THIS RELEASE I HAVE EVER HAD AVAILABLE FOR SALE ON EBAY IN 11 YEARS SUCH IS THE RARITY!!!

This sleeve does not come up for auction very often!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $220+(£143 approx) .I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £150.
