ELVIS PRESLEY - “FOR THE HEART / HURT” (PB-10601), A 1976 DOUBLE-HIT SINGLE. RARE SECOND PRESSING WITH BLACK LABELS! RECORD: VG+ with pleasing, glossy surfaces for the grade. There are some very light surface scuffs and marks that should not have any effect on the audible performance. This Indianapolis pressing should play very well! This is a rare, second pressing with the "new" Black Labels. These were pressed during the summer of 1976. The labels on this record are Excellent, showing just very light wear on the high points of the "For The Heart" side as well as evidence of sticker removal on that side that was once positioned just in front of the gramophone. There is no loss of surface paper as a result of this removal. This double-hit single was originally released in March of 1976 on the RCA Victor Tan label. It is quite evident that Elvis preferred "Hurt" over "For The Heart" as he performed it frequently during his live performances up until the end. Jerry Osborne assigns a Near Mint value of $100 on this item in his "Presleyana VIII" (2017). RCA COMPANY SLEEVE: VG+ with just some minor wrinkling as well as corner bends. There were never any price stickers, writing, tears or staple holes on this sleeve.
