Description

Rainy Day Records USA  (established 1981)

ALWAYS COMBINES SHIPPING TO SAVE YOU MONEY AND WE ALWAYS SHIP WITH TRACKING. YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!

From Jet Records, this is OUT OF THE BLUE by ELECTRIC

LIGHT ORCHESTRA, an original US pressing, a 2-LP set released

October 3, 1977playing time, 70:12. Crisp gatefold is NEAR MINT MINUS

with slightly cocked spine, printing dead center; LPs appear MINT, however,

there is a single pop on side one and light extraneous noise between a few

cuts. Overall, LPs play grade NEAR MINT to solid MINT. Original inner

sleeves are present and in beautiful shape (see photographs). A slightly

flawed, near-perfect piece with superior sound quality. Note: the LPs are

thin edge pressings on heavy wax, unusual for 1977. Our highest, most

passionate recommendation!

Wherever possible we house our vinyl in Mobile Fidelity Sound

Lab inner sleeves for the ultimate in protection; we use 6-mil

outer sleeves or polyester both being the finest protection

available for LP jackets.

These we offer FREE to all our customers!

When you buy from a small Mom & Pop business you

are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home,

a second yacht or a four hundred million dollar golden

parachute.  Instead, you’re helping a little girl get

dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey,

a Mom put food on the table, a Dad pay a mortgage,

or a student pay for college. Our customers are our

shareholders; they are the ones we strive to make happy.

Thank you for supporting small businesses.

Thoughts for today:

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by

the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different

ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself

a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and

permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually

incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute

power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing

faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this

disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

                                           --- From George Washington's Farewell Address, 1796

Be a nuisance where it counts. Do your part to inform and stimulate the public

to join your action. Be depressed, discouraged, and disappointed at failure and

the disheartening effects of ignorance, greed, corruption and bad politics — but

never give up.

                                           --- Marjory Stoneman Douglas (1890 - 1998)
