Description
Echo & The Bunnymen Will Sergeant Original Weird As Fish Cassette Tape - One of the 7 from the 1978
This has been confirmed 100% authentic by the artist. The cassette cover shows some wear as does the insert due to it age.
Background on the tape from what I was told by the artist: This was one of the first original recordings using his Dad’s electric razor amongst other things to make sounds. There are only 7 in existence from 1978 and I think some went missing over the years. Some were given to the artist’s friends when he was younger.
How I got the tape: I was in Liverpool at the time and this was also on eBay about 10 years ago. I was the high bidder. I only bid on it to have a little piece of music history but never actually played this cassette. The artist confirmed all 7 copies are different so these are quite rare.
This would make a great collectors item as it was the artist’s 1st solo work and was officially released 25 years later.
